About the role

We are currently looking for a Junior Accountant (m/f/d) for our Finance and Accounting department. The ideal candidate should have a strong affinity with numbers, a strong analytical mindset, and be able to work with our Accounting team to support our business operations. As a Junior Accountant, you will work under the direction of experienced accountants and will be primarily responsible for intercompany and accounts receivable accounting, while supporting the team in other areas

Your Responsibilities

  • Daily processing of the accounting mailbox
  •  Carrying out intercompany settlements
  •  Clarifying and reconciling intercompany accounts and processing open items
  •  Creating and posting outgoing invoices in collaboration with the SSC team.
  •  Clarification and reconciliation of debtor accounts
  •  Carrying out the dunning process in coordination with the Sales team.
  •  You will be involved in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per HGB and IFRS
  •  You are the contact person for customer inquiries and internal departments as well as auditors

Essential Skills

  • Organised and analytical way of thinking and working
  • Confident handling of MS Office (especially Excel) and common ERP systems is desirable
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (HGB/IFRS)
  • Basic UST knowledge should be available

Beneficial Skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills and a structured way of working with a high degree of accuracy and sense of ownership

Your Profile

  • Completed commercial training with a focus on accounting or a corresponding degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field)
  •  You have already gained some experience in accounting.
  •  Interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team are just as important to you as flexibility and the ability to work under pressure and independently
  •  Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  •  Confident with Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English is mandatory for the role to succeed
