About the role

We seek a highly motivated Accountant to join our growing Financial Planning and Analysis team based in Munich. The FP&A team sits at the heart of Agile’s national and international reporting and is accountable for delivering high-quality consolidated financial reports. The team covers a variety of accounting and reporting activities, including consolidating the monthly accounts, preparing financial information and analysis, and developing budget and forecast reports. Your Responsibilities

  • Preparing consolidated financial statements of the national and international offices. This includes preparing income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Helping with the preparation of financial reporting, taking inputs from across the finance function, using Excel skills to analyze data, investigating issues, and building accurate reports for monthly/quarterly/annual submissions
  • Analyze financial data. This includes analyzing financial data to identify trends, make forecasts, and assess the company’s financial health
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances
  • Maintain the accuracy of intercompany loans / related party balances and transactions across the group
  • Act as point of contact for finance teams for reporting issues and queries
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts, including collaborating with other departments to gather relevant information and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial projections
  • Improving processes and outputs to ensure they remain fit for the future
  • Other duties as assigned. This may include a variety of other tasks related to financial reporting, such as preparing presentations, conducting training, and management reporting

Your Profile

  • Higher education diploma in finance/accounting, or lower qualification if compensated by relevant experience
  • Ideally at least 4 years experience in finance and accounting, or a finance reporting function, demonstrating delivery of information to high-quality standards
  • Knowledge of international accounting standards as well as German commercial code (HGB) and their implementation within an organization
  • Excellent command of the MS Office tools (Excel in particular)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Very good command of German, minimum level B2
  • Attention to detail and strong deadline management skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Strong team player, able to communicate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds
  • Flexible to travel in Germany and abroad
